Status effects temporarily change your character stats, for better or for worse. Some effects give you a temporary ability, like invisibility, HP regeneration, or ability to fly, others might prohibit you from moving or make you shoot uncontrollably.
List of current effects can be found in your PipBuck>Status>Effects (as table with names and descriptions), as well as near health bar (as icons with timers).

Player debuffs[]
These debuffs cannot be inflicted on the player, however the player can inflict them on enemies. Blind and Contusion can be applied to the player using console commands.
Effect | Source | Description | Duration [s] | Effect id |
---|---|---|---|---|
Blind |
Laser weapons |

-25% speed |

Stun | Kinetic blast | Target loses control of it's movement, and cannot attack. Turrets are unaffected. | 1 |
Chemical after effects[]
Other debuffs are added immediately after a chemical wears off. Effects are reversed versions of buffs that the substance grants. Using detoxin will remove all chemical after effects you have, including any chemical buffs, and reduces addiction.
Chemical addiction[]
Using chemicals too many times will result in a chemical addiction. This applies a permanent debuff as long as you are not under the effects of the chemicals you are addicted to. Debuff effects get stronger the more addicted you are. Using detoxin will reduce how addicted you are to all chemicals, and also removes all chemical buffs and after effects.
Other[]
Alcohol[]
Drinking alcohol results in both positive and negative effects at the same time. It increases protection from melee damage, increases melee damage, but decreases accuracy and speed, and increases magic consumption.
Each kind of alcohol has an "alcohol" value assigned to it. Each unit of alcohol translates to longer duration of alcohol effect: 1 alcohol = 10 seconds. You can't go above 100 units, or 1000 seconds.
If you drink more alcohol, the effects will stay the same, but become stronger. Effect name will change. At the last stage (Alcohol intoxitation) green bubbles will start flying from you.
Bugs[]
- After the Frozen status effect expires, enemies will be slowed down even more instead of returning to normal speed.
Notes[]
- Maximum of 12 status effect icons can appear near health bar. If more than that are active, only 12 first will show (all effects are still active and can be viewed in PipBuck>Status>Effects).
- Some status effects have a status icon but don't show up in PipBuck - e.g. Magical shield.
- Despite Stampede being made out of both Med-X and Rage and buffing the same stats, all 3 chemicals have their own addictions. Oddly enough, because taking either Med-X or Rage while under the effects of Stampede (or vice versa) removes the other chemical(s), the after effect/addiction will never occur, since it requires the buff to run out in order to apply.
- Effects can be added to the player via the
eff <effect id>
command. See console commands for more info.
